This beautiful image is one of seventy colour illustrations, which can be found in The Rose: the botanical drawings of Pierre-Joseph Redouté (published, 2022); a book celebrating the work of the great Belgian painter and botanical artist (1759–1840), who loved and studied the rose and is often called ‘the Raphael of flowers’.
